Packaging

Biotique Natural Makeup Diva Kiss Gel Lip Balm comes in a sleek, dark brown coloured plastic casing with a golden ring at the centre. However, it is difficult to identify the shade so, you need to open the cap. At the base of the lip balm is given a sticker on which shade name and number are mentioned however, it is not colour coded. The lip balm comes encased in an attractive peach and green coloured cardboard box on which some images of roses and a woman’s face can be seen. The best part about the lip balm is that it comes with a retractable mechanism that makes the application so easy and hygienic. Overall, the packaging is sleek, quite colourful, attractive and travel-friendly.

My Experience With Biotique Natural Makeup Diva Kiss Gel Lip Balm

Though, I am a lip balm lover and have tried a lot of them from different brands but I haven’t tried any gel lip balm. I got this in the shade Rose Kennedy-R206 that appears orangish-red in the bullet.

The gel lip balm has a soft, smooth, glossy texture. With a melt-y feel, it glides smoothly on the lips and the formula is quite pleasant. It gives a nice burst of light hydration and offers a nice glossy finish to the lips. It is quite lightweight, doesn’t give sticky feeling and is comfortable to wear. The lip balm has a mild natural fragrance that I didn’t like but it vanishes after the application so, will not bother sensitive noses.

As it is a tinted lip balm so, I was expecting it to give a nice pop of colour to my lips. I specifically chose the darkest shade out of the 6 available shades but unfortunately, it is not that pigmented and doesn’t offer the expected pigmentation. It only imparts a slight reddish hue to the lips and if you are having pigmented lips then, you will not even get the slightest hue.

Efficacy

Biotique Natural Makeup Diva Kiss Gel Lip Balm provides hydration to the lips making them soft and smooth. It instantly removes dryness and makes them look healthy and glossy. However, it cannot repair the dry patches and doesn’t offer deep moisturization which is required during the winter season. After 2-3 hours, it needs re-application and like any other lip balm, cannot survive meals.

Overall, I feel it is an average lip balm and I also feel that it is a bit overpriced. I understand that it is 100% organic and is safe to use on lips but offers temporary effects and is not long-lasting as claimed.
