When Colorbar came up with this duo, I found it really expensive. But the moment I saw it at a discounted price, I immediately grabbed it as I so wanted to try this out. I have purchased this duo in the shade 03 Glow & Glam and here is its detailed review. How To Use?

• Apply highlighter along the length of your nose, topside of your cheekbones, on the cupid’s bow, on your chin and along the brow bone. Blend well.
• Apply lipstick and thicken the color along the cupid’s bow and the lower lip for a natural pucker.

Packaging

Before going further with my experience with this duo, it is very important to appreciate the Colorbar’s creative team for making such a beautiful and eye-catching packaging. Even the packaging of Colorbar Drama Blast is stunning. Colorbar Glitter Me All Fairytale Luminizer & Lipstick Duo comes encased in a shimmery, glittery, silver cardboard box. It reminds me of the Fairy’s magic wand and justifies its name Glitter Me All Fairytale. It has lipstick at one end and a luminizer on the other end. You need to push from one end to take the product out from the other side. I absolutely loved the packaging. However, to check the shade, you need to see the bullet. It would have been better if the lipstick was provided with a colour-coordinated sticker at the base.

My Experience With Colorbar Glitter Me All Fairytale Luminizer & Lipstick Duo

As shared above, I have purchased this duo in the shade 03 Glow & Glam. The lipstick called Glam is a deep maroonish shade which is perfect for the festive season. As compared to the other two lipsticks that I have from Colorbar – Sinful Matte & Drama Blast, this lipstick doesn’t glide that smoothly or effortlessly on the lips. It is quite pigmented and gives rich colour pay-off in a single swipe and offers a comfortable creamy matte finish. Honestly, I am not really impressed with the lipstick as the shade is not that unique and you can easily get this shade, this formula & finish in any other lipstick from the lower range.

Now, let’s talk about the luminizer which is called Glow and can be used to highlight the length of your nose, topside of your cheekbones, the cupid’s bow, your chin and along the brow bone. The luminizer is creamy in texture and blends really well. It gives a very subtle healthy sheen and doesn’t look over the top. I have tried applying it over the lipstick that I received in this duo and really liked the way my lipstick turned out.

The lipstick which was deep maroonish in shade, after applying the luminizer on the top turned into a plum shade that I really liked. The luminizer helped in giving me a totally new kind of shade and also added a nice shine to my pout. This is the best way that I can use luminizer to tone down my other darker shades and can get some new shades as well.

Staying Power Of Colorbar Glitter Me All Fairytale Luminizer & Lipstick Duo

With light snacks and beverages, this duo stayed on my lips for 4-5 hours. However, after having complete meal, it fades from the inner corners of my upper lip. The lipstick leaves behind a stain after fading.

Overall, I have some mixed feelings about Colorbar Glitter Me All Fairytale Luminizer & Lipstick Duo and I am not really impressed with the product the way I loved the other two lipsticks shared above. At this price point, I don’t think it is a revolutionary product so, if you are having a separate highlighter then you can easily skip this product and can definitely invest in some other formula from Colorbar.
