1. Application Of Thin Coats

Application Of Thin Coats Of Nail Polish

First, on the list to know how to dry nail polish faster is to apply your nail polish in thin layers so that each layer can get dry. Apply 2-3 thin coats by wiping off a bit of nail polish from the applicator and let each coat dry for a couple of minutes before the application of next layer. Start painting your nails one by one and then repeat in the same order. This way, your first nail will become ready for the next coat by the time you end up painting your last nail. This process may take longer for the application but it will significantly reduce the drying time.

You must have seen professionals in salons using fans at the end of the application of nail polish to speed up the drying process. So, your at-home version can be a hair dryer. Make sure to select the cold air setting, plug-in hair dryer and then by keeping it 12 inches (30 cm) above your nails, run the cool air across your fingertips for 2-3 minutes. Do this for both the hands. Do not use warm heat setting else it will make your nail polish start to bubble or ripple.

3. Freeze It Out

Before starting with the application process, take a bowl having enough water so that you can dip-in your nails. Add some ice-cubes in it and keep it aside.
