I have purchased two shades – 18 Closer and 20 Stage Wear and here is the detailed review of both these lipsticks.

The lipstick comes in a shiny golden metal case that looks quite classy. The branding is done in black font. The shade name and number are given at the base of the lipstick. The lipstick itself comes encased in a black coloured cardboard box that contains all the product-related information on it. I am happy with the fact that at this price point, the brand did not compromise with the packaging. The packaging is classy and travel-friendly.

My Experience With NY Bae Runway Matte Lipstick

As shared above, I have purchased two shades from the range: 18 Closer and 20 Stage Wear. 18 Closer belongs to Pinks & Berries family and 20 Stage Wear belongs to Brown family. 20 Stage Wear is a n*de brown shade that can be worn on an everyday basis and will look good on medium to fair skin tones. The swatches of both shades can be seen in the image provided.

The lipstick is infused with argan oil and castor oil and it has a creamy texture. It glides easily on the lips without any tugging or pulling. The lipstick claims to be super-pigmented however, I cannot say that it is super pigmented but yes, it definitely offers good pigmentation. In one swipe, you will get a nice pop of colour on the lips however, in order to get that opaque colour, 2-3 swipes are required.

Finish & Staying Power

The lipstick claims to offer matte finish however, it settles into a comfortable velvety matte finish. Enriched with argan oil and castor oil, this lipstick doesn’t dry out the lips at all and is very comfortable to wear. So, you don’t need to prep the lips before the application.

The lipstick is not smudge proof and it transfers as well. On my lips, it stays for around 3-4 hours and can survive light snacks and drinks. It is water-resistant and doesn’t bleed on coming in contact with water. A wet wipe is sufficient to remove this lipstick.

Overall, I liked NY Bae Runway Matte Lipstick as it is cruelty-free, comes in a wide range of 19 shades, settles into a comfortable velvety matte finish, doesn’t dry out the lips and is available at such an affordable price. So, I would definitely recommend buying this lipstick.
