Shakti Mohan – A famous Dancer-choreographer and TV personality has launched her own cosmetic line and has turned into a beauty entrepreneur. This beauty line is launched in collaboration with purplle.com and is called NY Bae x Shakti. The range consists of bullet lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, nail lacquers and eyeliners. I have purchased one from each category so, I will share my review on all products. In this post, I will be talking about creamy matte lipstick in the shade 07 Head Bang.

NY Bae X Shakti Creamy Matte Lipstick comes in a shiny, rose-gold casing. There is a homogeneous pattern on the casing that makes it look a little attractive. The lipstick comes encased in a rose-gold cardboard box that bears some product-related details on it. The branding is done in black fonts. The lipstick is quite light-weight and the cap shuts tightly thereby making it travel-friendly. However, it is difficult to identify the shade but you can see the shade name and number given on the sticker at the base of the lipstick.

My Experience With NY Bae X Shakti Creamy Matte Lipstick

As shared above, I have the lipstick in the shade 07 Head Bang which is a mix of plum and purple tones. Such kind of shades suit everyone irrespective of the skin tones and are perfect to wear on occasions & festivals.

The lipstick has a creamy texture and glides effortlessly on the lips. It has a mild sweet fragrance that vanishes after the application so it will not bother sensitive noses. It has a medium to buildable pigmentation and you need to give 2-3 swipes to get the required intensity of the colour on the lips.

NY Bae X Shakti Creamy Matte lipstick claims to offer a creamy matte finish and it actually offers a satiny matte finish. The lipstick doesn’t accentuate fine lines on the lips and is quite lightweight and comfortable to wear. The good point is that it keeps the lips moisturized and you don’t need to prep your lips before the application.

Staying Power

The lipstick has a creamy texture so, it is not smudge-proof and transfers as well. On my lips, it stays for 4-5 hours without disturbing and with light snacks and beverages, it fades from the inner corners of my upper lip. However, it cannot survive full meals and needs reapplication. If you are my regular reader then, you must be knowing that I really like lipsticks that are creamy in texture, lightweight, comfortable to wear and keeps the lips moisturized and this lipstick fulfills my requirements. So, I would definitely recommend trying this lipstick from the collection.

Not So Good About NY Bae X Shakti Creamy Matte Lipstick

• Pigmentation could have been better.
• Contains paraben.
• Offers a satiny matte finish rather than the claimed creamy matte.
• Not smudge-proof and transfers as well.
