Hi Everyone!! Today, I am sharing Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara Review.
In one of my previous posts, I shared with you that Purplle has recently launched two in-house makeup products – Mascaras. I have already shared my review on Purplle Through Thick and Thin Volumizing Mascara and had a bad experience with it. So, please check that post as it will help you in making up your decision. Now, let’s see whether curl extender worked for me or not.

Packaging
Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara comes in a glossy black coloured plastic cylindrical tube. The only difference between the packaging of curl extender and volumizing mascara is that the curl extender has a golden band on its cap. If you are having both the mascaras then it can create confusion however, the name is mentioned at the base of the tube so, you need to check it properly. The mascara itself comes encased in a classic Purplle cardboard box with all the product-related details mentioned on it. Overall, the packaging is sleek and travel-friendly.

My Experience With Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara
Let’s talk about the texture of the mascara. It has a texture which is neither too wet nor too dry and glides smoothly on the lashes. The mascara is jet black in colour however, the tip of the mascara wand accumulates product so you need to remove the excess product. The good part is that it doesn’t form clumps on the lashes and feels light even after putting thrice.
Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara doesn’t dry up quickly and it does transfer to the skin around the lashes. Even after waiting for around 10-12 minutes, it wasn’t dried up completely.
As we all know, the brush of the mascara can make all the difference. So, in order to lift and curl the lashes, the brush has to be curved or a bubble brush. However, with this mascara, it is not the case. The brush is not curved though it claims to have an arched wand. Please refer to the image provided to get a clear picture.

Efficacy Of Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara
If I talk about the efficacy of this mascara, it helps in curling my lashes to some extent. In order to see a good curl volume, make sure to curl your lashes otherwise you will not see the desired effect with this mascara on its own.
Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara is not transfer proof at all. Even if you touch your lashes, the product will transfer to your fingers. So, just imagine what will be the result if you have a habit of rubbing your eyes just like me. When I shared my review on Purplle Volumizing mascara, I shared with you that I sit in front of a computer for long hours for writing and have the habit of rubbing my eyes. The moment I rubbed my eyes, this mascara got spread all around my eyes. So, I thought to clean it and splashed water on my face deliberately as I wanted to check whether the mascara is water-proof or not. The moment I splashed water, the mascara started bleeding. The results were similar to the previous mascara. I stay in Mumbai and this monsoon season, I cannot take the risk of applying this mascara as it can put me in an embarrassing situation.
Overall, I am not impressed with both the mascaras from Purplle.
Not So Good About Purplle My Helping Hand Curl Extender Lash Mascara
- Doesn’t offer much curling effect
- Not smudge-proof
- Not transfer-proof and water-proof
- Bleeds on coming in contact with water
- Wand is not arched
- Contains paraben
My Rating – 2/5
