The VLCC Snigdha Skin Whitening Night Cream comes in white and pink coloured plastic tub. It is provided with a screw open cap mechanism which is dome-shaped and keeps the contents safe. Beneath the cap is provided with a protective covering to prevent product spillage. The cream itself comes housed in a cardboard box having the same colour combination as that of cream. All the necessary details about the product are mentioned on the box and the tub as well. The packaging is light in weight and can be easily slipped into our bags and so is travel-friendly. However, tub packaging is quite unhygienic as every time you have to dip in your finger to take out the product.

Consistency, Colour & Fragrance

Usually, night creams have a thick consistency however, this cream has a moderate consistency. It is white in colour and has a mild floral fragrance that lingers for sometime post application.

My Experience With VLCC Snigdha Skin Whitening Night Cream

As per the directions, I applied the cream on my clean face before going to bed. It is always advisable to apply any night cream 15-20 minutes before going to bed. A little quantity of the cream is enough to cover the whole face and neck. The cream gets absorbed into the skin easily in no time without giving any greasy feel.

I received VLCC Snigdha Skin Whitening Night Cream during the humid weather conditions and at that time the application of this cream made my combination skin sweat a lot. So, I couldn’t use it at that time and kept it aside. Now, the winter season is approaching and the weather is not humid so, I gave this cream one more try and found is really good. I have been using it for the past 15 days and it has not made my face sweaty rather its non-greasy formula gets absorbed easily into my skin.

The cream contains Comfrey that serves many benefits to our skin. Comfrey helps in providing moisturisation to the skin, aids wound repair, accelerates skin healing, helps in cell regeneration and also possesses anti-inflammatory activity. Now, let’s see whether the cream fulfiils what it claims or not.

Efficacy

The VLCC Snigdha Skin Whitening Night Cream hydrates and moisturizes the skin effectively without leaving behind any greasy feel. It is apt for normal, oily and combination skin types during the winter season. However, it may not be suitable for dry skin types as they need a good amount of moisturisation, especially during winters.

As far as I am concerned I really liked this cream as it makes me wake up with soft, hydrated and well-moisturized skin every morning. The cream also claims to offer skin whitening however, I believe that there is no such cream available that can provide whitening effects to the skin. However, the cream definitely brightens the skin and adds a natural glow.

As far as its claim of reducing dark spots and blemishes are concerned, I have not found any results on my acne spots. However, I do not have any blemishes on my face so, I cannot comment on that. But, the cream contains Comfrey and Niacinamide so, I believe the regular usage of the cream will definitely show the results.

Overall, I can say that VLCC Snigdha Skin Whitening Night Cream is a decent cream as it keeps the skin hydrated and well moisturized. However, if you are purchasing it for reducing dark spots and blemishes, then, you will have to apply this cream religiously to get the desired results. It may take a lot of time.
