I had purchased this facial kit last month but didn’t get the chance to try it. During this isolation period, I thought to try it out and share its review with you all. So, here is its detailed review.

Packaging

The kit contains 5 white coloured sachets for conducting 5 facial steps. These sachets are numbered stepwise so, there will not be any problem even if you are not aware of the procedure. However, it would have been better if these sachets are provided with an opening secured with a cap. I understand that the kit is meant for single-use but you can easily use it twice. So, storing the leftover amount is really difficult. All the sachets come encased in a greyish-blue coloured cardboard box that bears all the product-related details on it.

My Experience With Alps Goodness Diamond Facial Kit With Charcoal

Step 1 – Cleansing Milk

The cleansing milk is white in colour and has a thick, creamy consistency which is not like that of cleansing milk. It has a mild fragrance that will not bother sensitive noses. I have combination skin where my t-zone is oily and on the rest of the face, it is normal. When I used this cleanser on my moist skin, it really felt quite heavy so, this cleanser is apt for people with dry or extremely dry skin types and not for those having normal, combination and oily skin types. Post application, the skin feels clean but as far as I am concerned, it gave a little discomfort to me.

Step 2 – Scrub

The scrub is white in colour and has a thick, creamy texture. It contains a few exfoliating particles that offer a very mild exfoliation. Again, this felt quite heavy for my skin and would be suitable for dry skin types. The scrub is not effective in removing whiteheads or blackheads. While applying, I felt as if I am giving massage to my face with a cream rather than exfoliating with a scrub.

Step 3 – Cream

The third step in Alps Goodness Diamond Facial Kit With Charcoal is a massage with cream. The cream has a quite thick and creamy texture and it is white in colour. After massaging my face for around 12-15 minutes with this cream, I wiped off the excess with a moist cotton pad. Though the cream was heavy for my skin but I took it in a small quantity and somehow, managed to work with it. The main purpose was to increase the blood circulation with the massage.

Step 4 – Pack

Till the time, I reached this step, I was thinking that the kit claims to contain charcoal so, I was expecting cleanser, scrub and cream to appear a little greyish but they all were white in colour. However, the pack turns out to be grey indicating that it contains charcoal. It has a thick, creamy consistency and spreads easily on the face. The pack takes around 12 minutes to get dry and during that time, it didn’t cause any sort of tingling or burning sensation on my skin. Honestly, my skin was feeling very sweaty with the first three steps that I followed and the application of the pack gave me a sigh of relief. This is because it helped in removing the excess oil from my skin.

Step 5 – Moisturizer

The last step was the application of a moisturizer which was thick in consistency and so was apt for dry skin. I took a little amount and apply it on my face but it gave a little discomfort to me so, I had to rinse it off and then, I applied aloe vera gel.

Overall, I am not really satisfied with Alps Goodness Diamond Facial Kit With Charcoal. This is not because it didn’t suit my combination skin but the kind of glow that is expected from a diamond facial, it failed to offer that. Though my skin was looking clean, fresh, soft & smooth but this effect can be achieved from any normal cleanup that we do at home. I didn’t get any extraordinary results from this kit.
