Someone has rightly said, “Some girls wear a lot of makeup to look beautiful and a few wear just kajal.”

Yes, that is the power of a kajal and there is nothing better than a kajal to brighten your eyes. What if the kajal is made up of 100% organic ingredients? Bonus, right!!

Biotique has recently come up with its ‘Natural Makeup Range’ and the whole range is available at nykaa.com. The range is categorized into 3 categories:

Packaging

The packaging looks like that of a lipstick. Biotique Natural Makeup Magikajal comes in a black casing and has a retractable mechanism which is a good point. However, I am not able to figure out how I will be using it after the tip goes blunt. I would have preferred it in a pencil form. So, for me, this concept doesn’t work. The outer packaging in which this kajal comes in looks quite attractive and colourful.

My Experience With Biotique Natural Makeup Magikajal

As shared above, the kajal comes in only one shade – Intense Black 010 which is actually a jet black colour. It has an extremely soft and creamy texture and glides effortlessly on the waterline without any tugging. The kajal is richly-pigmented so, one or two strokes are enough to get the intense black colour. Being creamy in texture, the tip of the kajal gets blunt quickly. I would also recommend going with light hands while applying this kajal as it may break due to its soft texture.

Till this point, I was really impressed with the performance of this kajal. Now, comes the most heart-breaking part. I applied the kajal in the morning at around 9:00 a.m. and left for my office. After around 2 hours, during the tea break, I went to the washroom to wash my hands and looked into the mirror. I was shocked to see the kajal spread under my eyes. The kajal is not smudge-proof so, be prepared to look like a raccoon if you have a habit of touching or rubbing your eyes. It is not waterproof as well and if you will splash water on your face, it will come down slowly and will give you artificial dark circles. Moreover, it doesn’t offer any cooling effect to the eyes as claimed.

If I talk about the staying power of this kajal then, I can say that it stays for around 2 hours provided I don’t touch or splash water on my eyes.

Overall, I am not really impressed with Biotique Natural Makeup Magikajal. Though, it is 100% organic, jet black in colour, has a soft creamy texture, glides easily, offers great pigmentation but its smudging and staying power is totally a dud. So, as far as I am concerned, I will surely not repurchase it.
