Blue Heaven has just launched a new range of liquid lipsticks called Blue Heaven Saphire Matte Lipsticks. The range includes 12 shades and it is only available on cuffsnlashes.com. I have purchased the lipstick in the shade 105 Haute Red and here is its detailed review. Blue Heaven Saphire Matte Lipstick comes in a rectangular plastic bottle and is provided with a glossy black cap to which the applicator is attached. The bottle is given an ombre effect that looks quite attractive. From the bottle itself, you can easily identify the shade. However, the shade name and number are mentioned on the sticker given at the base of the lipstick. Honestly, I didn’t expect such packaging as my last time experience was quite bad. Overall, the packaging is quite nice, sturdy and travel-friendly.

My Experience With Blue Heaven Saphire Matte Lipstick

I have the lipstick in the shade 105 Haute Red which is a deep maroonish shade and is perfect for parties and occasions. However, it is not a shade that can be worn on a daily basis. As the name Haute Red suggests, I was expecting a red shade but it is actually a deep maroonish shade.

The lipstick has a liquidy/thin formula and it glides easily on the lips. The applicator provided is flat and not that flexible but it picks up the right amount of product. It covers the lips in one go and you don’t need to dip-in the applicator again in the bottle. Blue Heaven Saphire Matte Lipstick offers great pigmentation and only one swipe is required to get the required colour.

The formula of the lipstick is quite light and it feels as if there is nothing on the lips. The lipstick settles down quickly and offers a matte finish. Another good feature about the lipstick is that unlike many other liquid lipsticks that dry out the lips, this lipstick dries out a little lesser in comparison. However, if you have extremely dry lips then, you need to prep them before the application of this lipstick.

Staying Power

The lipstick doesn’t smudge and transfer however, if you will rub your lips vigorously then, it will transfer a little bit. Another good point is that it is waterproof and you need a good makeup remover to remove the lipstick. The lipstick stays for good 5-6 hours on my lips. However, on having a complete meal, it fades from the inner corners of the lips and needs re-application.

Overall, at a price point of 125/-. The lipstick has delivered good results. So, I would definitely recommend trying this out.
