Hi Everyone!! Today, I am going to review CAL Intense Matte Lipstick Renewing Rose 11.

I got this lipstick in one of the subscription boxes called ZoBag April 2018.  So, let’s talk in depth about this lipstick.

I have never heard of this brand before. ZoBag has introduced this brand to me. I got the option to choose the colour so, I selected Renewing Rose 11.

The lipstick is encased in a golden coloured cardboard packaging. All the necessary details such as the ingredients list, shade name and weight are mentioned on the packaging. The shade name that is mentioned on the website is written only on the plastic cover. Otherwise, the shade name mentioned on the actual packaging is different. I selected the shade name, Renewing Rose. However, on the packaging, it is written Kangana 11. I don’t understand the reason behind. See the picture below to understand better.

The actual lipstick comes in a glossy light gold colour packaging and has the shade name and number written on the bottom. Packaging is quite sleek and travel-friendly.

Texture, Formula, Pigmentation And Finish

• The lipstick has a creamy texture. It gets applied on the lips easily.
• However, if your lips are extremely dry then I would recommend you to apply lip balm at least 15 minutes before applying the lipstick.
• CAL Intense Matte Lipstick doesn’t dry out your lips completely and very light in weight.
• The pigmentation that this lipstick offers is quite nice.
• However, it will not offer full coverage for the lips that are much pigmented.
• This lipstick settles into a matte finish on the lips.

Wearability, Transferability And Staying Power

• CAL Intense Matte Lipstick is very comfortable to wear.
• As shared earlier, it doesn’t dry out the lips completely.
• However, it is not transfer proof. You will need a touch up after eating or drinking something.
• Without disturbing, it stays on the lips for around 3-4 hours.
• However, the lipstick doesn’t wear off completely leaving the lips to look colourless. A stain is left behind.
• One important thing is that the lipstick is not at all smudge proof or waterproof.
• So, if you lick or rub your lips, it will come off very easily.
