Hi Everyone!! Today, I am going to share Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte MasabaLips Review.

Lakme in association with fashion designer Masaba Gupta launched Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte MasabaLips collection in 2017. I didn’t try any of the shades at that time. Recently, I purchased some Lakme products from Smytten and I got this lip crayon in the shade Smokey Red as a free gift. So, I thought of sharing my review with you.

Packaging

Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte MasabaLips – Smokey Red comes in a twist-up jumbo crayon packaging and has a cute candy sort of packaging. The crayon comes encased in a red coloured cardboard packaging with some product details mentioned on it. The crayon body is provided with a tight cap that makes it travel-friendly. Overall, I really liked this candy-like packaging.

My Experience With Lakme Absolute Lip Pout Matte MasabaLips – Smokey Red

The shade Smokey Red is an orange-ish red colour. The lip crayon has a waxy kind of texture and has a mild sweet fragrance. It has a soft texture and glides easily on the lips and doesn’t involve any tugging or pulling.

The lip crayon – Smokey Red offers average pigmentation and needs 3-4 swipes to get an opaque colour. It settles into a matte finish. However, I felt it a little drying on my lips when I applied it for the first time and later on, I made sure to prep my lips before the application.

Staying Power

The lip crayon is not smudge proof and transfer proof however, it is water-resistant. On my lips, it stayed for 4 hours with light snacks and coffee. However, it cannot survive meals and fades but leaves a deep stain behind.

Overall, I am not that impressed with this lip crayon. As compared to other lip crayons, it doesn’t offer great pigmentation, doesn’t stay for long and makes lips feel dry. Because of the above-mentioned points, I feel it is overpriced. Therefore, I would not recommend buying this product.
