Lakme Sun Expert Ultra Matte SPF40 PA+++ Compact powder comes in a vibrant, bright yellow coloured outer carton packaging as well as inner casing. Lakme Sun Expert range has followed its classic colour theme. It comes in a flip top compact spherical case and is provided with a mirror. Moreover, it has its own sponge applicator which I really like. There is a thin plastic covering that separates the powder and the sponge. The compact case is light in weight and has a mirror attached for quick touch-ups so, it is apt to be carried in the handbags. Therefore, it is travel-friendly.

My Experience With Lakme Sun Expert Ultra Matte Compact SPF 40

The compact powder is a very fine powder has a very smooth, soft and buttery texture. It feels very light on the skin. However, care should be taken while blending. It has to be blended very nicely into the skin to avoid any patches or cakey-ness. It sets to a completely matte finish.

I am having fair to wheatish skin tone and it works really well for me as it doesn’t leave any white cast on my face. However, I feel it might give a white cast on darker skin tones if used with a sponge applicator. In that case, you can dust only a small amount of the product using a fluffy brush.

The product also provides light coverage, which is great for regular, everyday looks. However, it is not able to hide any dark spots or pigmentation. It blends well with a brush and provides soft and smooth skin. In addition, it gives a fresh and bright glow to the face. Moreover, it helps in preventing creasing and works great as a makeup setting powder. Although, it works great for my normal to combination skin but for those having dry skin, need a moisturizing base. Otherwise, it can highlight your dry flakes too.

The powder stays on for around 4-5 hours and offers good sun protection. It also helps in keeping my skin shine-free and never creases or settles into fine lines. Overall I am really satisfied with the product and would definitely recommend buying it.
