NY Bae is a brand that is available only at purplle.com and is one of the most affordable brands. It has launched many makeup products such as Liquid lipsticks, creamy lipsticks, lip crayons, lip liners, kajal, color corrector sticks, nail polishes etc. I have already shared my reviews on all NY Bae products in my previous posts. Now, NY Bae has recently launched NY Bae Super Matte Lipsticks. So, let’s see the detailed review of these lipsticks and see whether these are up to the satisfaction level or not.

Packaging Of NY Bae Super Matte Lipsticks

These lipsticks come in a black coloured glossy plastic case. The brand’s logo can be seen on the case in silver colour. The sticker depicting the shade name and shade number is stuck at the bottom of the lipstick. The lipstick shuts with a click sound that ensures that it is properly locked and this makes it travel-friendly. The shape of the bullet is sharp and edgy for smooth application.  Overall, the packaging is simple, good and secure.

My Take On NY Bae Super Matte Lipstick – Rebellious Rachel 14

As shared earlier, I have almost tried the whole range of NY Bae products and the results were very satisfactory. So, I was excited to try this super matte lipstick as well. The moment I received my package, I went on with the application. Initially, it was difficult to apply the lipstick as it didn’t glide on the lips easily. However, after 2-3 applications, it started gliding on smoothly. It has a mild fruity fragrance that lingers on for few seconds after application.

Colour, Pigmentation And Finish

The shade Rebellious Rachel 14 is a beautiful berry shade that will suit all skin tones.  It gives an instant brightens to the face. If I talk about the pigmentation, you need at least 3-4 swipes in order to get the desired colour. The lipstick settles into a matte finish.

The good part about this lipstick is that it doesn’t dry out the lips at all. Rather, it keeps the lips moisturized. It is very comfortable to wear and does not give that stretchy feeling to the lips.

Transferability And Staying power

Now, let’s talk about the transferability and staying power of NY Bae Super Matte Lipstick. The lipstick transfers a bit so it can be said that it is transfer resistant. However, it is not at all smudge proof. So, if you lick or rub your lips, it will come off easily.

The lipstick is not waterproof. However, it will not bleed while washing your face or if you are stuck in rain. So, by that means, I can say that it is water resistant.

Without disturbing, the lipstick stays on the lips for around 4-5 hours. After that, it starts fading. Furthermore, it is quite easy to remove this lipstick from the lips. You do not need any oil-based makeup remover to take this off from the lips.

Overall, I liked the NY Bae Super Matte Lipsticks considering the fact that these are quite affordable, toxicity free, don’t dry out the lips, available in a wide range of 24 shades, settle into the matte finish and are good for everyday use. Getting all these benefits at this price point is a good deal. So, I would definitely recommend buying these lipsticks.
