Parul Garg – A name that doesn’t need any introduction. She is one of the most popular beauticians and makeup artists of India and her videos of making brides ready for their big day are very popular on social media and are loved by millions of people. Recently, on 15^th August, she has launched her beauty & cosmetic brand. For now, she has launched a range of liquid lipsticks and I have purchased one as I was very curious to try it because I follow her on her Instagram and really appreciate her work. Now, let’s see the detailed review of this lipstick.

Parul Garg Exceptional Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick comes in a transparent, plastic tube and is provided with a glossy black coloured screw cap on which the brand name is mentioned. At the base of the tube, is given a sticker on which the shade number and name is given. However, you can easily see the shade from the tube only. The tube itself comes encased in a peachy-pink coloured cardboard box that bears the product-related details on it. Also, the product came packed in a potli made of cotton bearing brand name that looks very traditional.

My Experience With Parul Garg Exceptional Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick

I have purchased the lipstick in the shade 02 Fire Lily which is the perfect brick colour. The applicator provided is quite unique. It is a flat applicator that picks up the product in proper amount and also helps in the even application of the lipstick. You don’t even need to double-dip the applicator in the tube for a single application. These little things really matter and help to make the product stand out amongst others. The lipstick has a mild sweet fragrance that will not bother sensitive noses as it vanishes after the application.

The lipstick has a liquidy-creamy texture and it glides on the lips easily. It is richly-pigmented and can cover even the pigmented lips in a single swipe. It takes 3-4 minutes to get dry and settles into a matte finish. It is quite light-weight and the good part is that it doesn’t dry out the lips. However, if you have dry lips then, it is suggested to use a thin layer of lightweight lip balm as a base. This will help to fill in any cracks so that your lipstick will give a smooth and even finish.

Staying power

Once the lipstick settles on the lips then, there is no looking back. It is completely smudge proof and water proof. I applied this lipstick at 8 o’clock in the morning and after having my breakfast, it faded a bit from the inner corners of my upper lips. In between my breakfast and lunch, I had some snacks and coffee but the lipstick was intact. Post lunch, the lipstick faded a bit from the centre and the inner corners of my lower lip but I don’t feel the need to reapply it because it faded a bit and was not looking bad. Let me tell you that this lipstick lasted for more than 12 hours and I had to remove it with a makeup remover.

Overall, I absolutely loved this lipstick. It fulfills what it claims and I would definitely recommend trying this.

Not So Good About Parul Garg Exceptional Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick

• Less shade range (However, I understand that the range has just been launched so, definitely more shades will be added up soon).
