Matte liquid lipsticks are taking over the beauty industry like anything. They have taken an important place in every woman’s makeup kit. Nowadays, I am also trying new matte liquid lipsticks. I tried purplle’s Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick and here is my review.

Purplle Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick has been recently launched at Purplle.com. It is the purplle’s in-house makeup product and is available in 10 shades. I have already shared my review on Purplle Ultra HD Matte Lipsticks that are the tube lipsticks. I was not at all satisfied with their performance. So, out of 10 available shades of liquid lipsticks, I picked up only one shade called – My First Bae 9 to see whether these liquid lipsticks are up to the satisfaction level or not. Packaging

The lipstick comes encased in a smart, secured purple coloured glide-in-glide out packaging. I really liked this unique way of packaging. The actual product comes in a cylindrical shaped plastic tube. The top and bottom part of the cylindrical tube is black in colour and the middle part is left transparent that gives it a very classy look. This has made it very easy to identify the shade. However, the sticker is stuck at the bottom of the lipstick depicting the shade name and shade number. The lipstick comes with a leaf-shaped applicator which is quite flexible. Overall, the packaging is good, secure and travel-friendly.

My Take On Purplle Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick

Texture & Formula

The lipstick has a creamy and smooth texture.
It glides on the lips easily and you don’t need to pull or tug your lips while applying this.
Once applied, it settles down in completely matte finish within 1-2 minutes.
Moreover, the formula doesn’t feel heavy on the lips.
However, the lipstick gives stretchy feeling to the lips for initial 4-5 minutes and accentuates the lines on your lips.
So, it is recommended to properly exfoliate your lips and prep them before the application.

Colour, Pigmentation And Fragrance

Appearance Of Purplle Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick My First Bae 9 — Swatch Of My First Bae 9

The shade that I purchased is My First Bae 9.
It is a beautiful colour and is intensely pigmented.
It only requires 1-2 swipes only to get a smooth and opaque coverage.
The lipstick has no fragrance so, it will not at all bother sensitive noses.

Staying Power

Purplle Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick has an excellent staying power.
It is completely smudge-proof, waterproof and transfer resistant as well.
So, it stays for good 8-9 hours easily.
Moreover, it can survive drinks and light snacks.
However, it starts to fade slightly from the inner sides of the lips after a full meal which is completely normal.
In order to remove this lipstick, you need to use a good quality makeup remover.

Not So Good About Purplle Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick

Accentuate lines on the lips
Gives a little stretchy feel to the lips for initial 5 minutes

Overall, I really liked Purplle Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipstick as it is lead and toxicity free, smudge proof, waterproof, transfer resistant, long lasting and is highly pigmented. The lipstick fulfills many of its claims. So, I would definitely recommend buying it.
