Lakme has recently launched a new range of liquid lipsticks called Forever Matte Liquid Lip Colour. The range includes 20 shades and I have it in the shade 20 Wine Touch.  So, let’s see its detailed review. Lakme Forever Matte Liquid Lip Colour comes in a sleek, colour-coordinated plastic tube and is provided with a black, glossy, screw cap to which the applicator is attached. The shade name and number are mentioned at the base of the lipstick and on the cap as well. However, no product-details such as ingredients, product description, etc. are mentioned on the product.

My Experience With Lakme Forever Matte Liquid Lip Colour

As shared above, I have the lipstick in the shade 20 Wine Touch which is a mix of brown and wine shade. The shade is quite pretty and will suit everyone irrespective of the skin tones.

The applicator provided is given a little slant and is quite easy to work with. It picks up the right amount of the product so, you need not dip it in the tube again and again. The lipstick has a thin consistency, is quite pigmented and offers rich colour pay-off. Even if you have pigmented lips, two swipes are enough to hide them and get the required colour. The lipstick has a mild sweet fragrance that vanishes after the application so, it will not bother sensitive noses. The lipstick settles down within one minute and offers a matte finish. However, it feels quite sticky for the initial few minutes however, as time passes, the stickiness reduces but doesn’t vanish completely. So, if you don’t like lipsticks with sticky formula then, this product is not for you.

The lipstick doesn’t accentuate fine lines on the lips and it also doesn’t dry out the lips. It is not transfer-proof and smudge-proof but is water-resistant. It doesn’t bleed on coming in contact with water. Irrespective of the fact that it is not transfer-proof, the lipstick stays for good 5-6 hours with light snacks and beverages. However, on having a complete meal, it fades from the centre and inner corners of the lips and needs reapplication.
